COGUMELOS DA MOURA MORTA

No Blog de JULIE DOWN FOX residente na Moura Morta

M is for Mushrooms of Moura Morta

I’m getting excited about going to the Alcaide mushroom festival this weekend and in celebration of fungi, I’ve put together a collection of mushrooms and other odd growths that I’ve found in the forests of Moura Mourta.
I suspect that none of these are edible, though, and I’m not about to take the risk of eating any that I’m not 100% sure of no matter how pretty they are. I’ll play it safe and experiment with the ones available at the festival instead.
If you can identify any of them, please let me know in the comments, especially if they are actually edible.

About Julie Dawn Fox

I'm a British freelance writer, specialising in writing for the web. My passion for travel has turned me into a serial expat and after several years of living in far-away countries, I moved to Portugal in 2007. I promptly fell in love in more ways than one: I met my husband, adopted a dog and finally found a place to call home in a country that fascinates me. I love exploring Portugal and I want to help other people discover the countless treats that Portugal has to offer and avoid some of the potential headaches by sharing my experiences.
